City & State New York has named Joni A Yoswein as the top lobbyist in their recently released Brooklyn Borough 50 list, which highlights the most influential individuals in policy and politics in the County of Kings.
Ms. Yoswein was ranked 25th overall. Her representation of some of the borough’s most influential institutions over the past two decade was highlighted as a key factor in City & State’s ranking.
“For the past two decades Joni Yoswein has represented some of Brooklyn’s biggest institutions, from developers to cultural and educational institutions to hospitals and nonprofits,” wrote City and State. “Her public affairs and consulting firm has had a hand in shaping the borough through its boom years, often helping clients navigate the halls of government or market themselves better to the borough’s residents.”
The article also highlighted her role in Democratic politics in the borough.
“Since founding YNY more than 22 years ago, I’ve always been proud of the institutions we’ve represented, and the manner in which we’ve represented them – with a deep respect of, and for, the institution of government,” said Ms. Yoswein. “Our clients have had a tremendous impact on both the physical and socioeconomic landscape of the Borough of Brooklyn, and most importantly, have positively impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of Brooklynites – I take great pride in having played a role in advancing their work.”
